projects:plsgen - Two new todo-items

plsgen, short for Perl Simple Gallery Generator, is a naive approach to image gallery creation for web. Greatly simplified, plsgen is a perl-script that iterates over image files in the working directory where it is executed, creates rescaled images suitable for thumbnails and web display, and creates fairly simple HTML pages based on user created template files. All content created by plsgen is static, so album generation can be done off-line before upload.

Create a controller board that allows for simple and easy construction of a presonal RC transmitter. Instead of implementing an RF system, implement an interface to existing RF modules. Initial plan aims at implementing a PPM compatible signal for up to 9 channels.

Large virtual framebuffer on X11, with a relatively small viewport onto the framebuffer. The framebuffer is displayed to the user through video goggles, and the viewport is actively scrolled on the large framebuffer using a headtracker. Does this provide a pseudo-3d environment experience for the user, and does this create a working, productive user interface environment?

The world has already moved from Centralized Version Control Systems (CVS, SVN et.al) to Distributed Version Control Systems, and it has for long been my intention to play catch-up on that. For me, and for quite a lot of open-source oriented people, the de-facto choice has become Git (<http://git-scm.com/>), so that is the DVCS I will be focusing on.
