Mikrokopter
I saw the Mikrokopter and its relatives for the first time ever at the Chaos Communication Camp 2007, and after seeing Holger Buss (inventor/creator along with Ingo Busker) et.al. flying round the hackcenter, I could not shake the fascination, I just had to build one!
I thought about the kopters a lot, read the forum at http://forum.mikrokopter.de/, and kept “windowshopping” at http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/ for a long time, read around on other UAV and Quadrocopter projects, and finally decided I had to afford building one, and started ordering parts just before christmas 2007. Over the christmas, I got my first quadrocopter, the protokopter, built, and I am currently learning to fly!
